Nevada Housing Division Opens Application Period for 2025 Attainable Housing Account Grants

October 30, 2025

Carson City, NV - The Nevada Housing Division (NHD), and agency of the Department of Business and Industry, has announced the opening of the 2025 Nevada Attainable Housing Account (NAHA) grant cycle. The Division will begin accepting preapplications for Development, Homeownership, and Local Government Matching Fund grants from Thursday, October 30, 2025, through Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

The NAHA was established by the Nevada Housing Access and Attainability Act (Assembly Bill 540) during the 2025 Legislative Session. The Act provides $133 million to expand affordable and attainable housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income households statewide.

Funding is available across three key program areas:

  • Development Opportunities – to support the creation of new attainable housing projects.
  • Homeownership Opportunities – to increase access to affordable homeownership for Nevada residents.
  • Local Government Matching Fund – to assist local governments in leveraging state funds for housing initiatives.

Preapplications will be reviewed to determine eligibility for the full application phase, which will open on November 12, 2025, and close on December 3, 2025.

Eligible applicants include state agencies, local governments, nonprofit organizations, housing authorities, HUD-certified housing counseling agencies, tribal governments, and private entities engaged in public-private partnerships that promote the development of attainable housing.

Applicants are encouraged to review the 2025 NAHA Allocation Plan and related materials available on the Division’s website at https://housing.nv.gov/Programs/Attainable_Housing/. Applications will be accepted electronically through the Neighborly system at https://portal.neighborlysoftware.com/NEVADAHOUSINGDIVISION/participant.
