Nevada Department of Business and Industry Hits the Road to Connect with Rural Communities

The Nevada Department of Business and Industry leadership team and agency administrators will be traveling across the state from October 20–22, 2025 to meet directly with residents, elected officials, and community leaders as part of its Rural Road Trip outreach tour.

The Rural Road Trip is designed to strengthen relationships between state agencies and Nevada’s rural communities by sharing information, providing access to resources, and hearing firsthand about the challenges and opportunities unique to each area.

“This tour gives us the chance to meet Nevadans where they are,” said Department Director Dr. Kristopher Sanchez. “We’re looking forward to engaging in meaningful conversations about local needs, economic and business growth, and how the state can continue to support communities and constituents across all regions of Nevada.”

During each stop, community members will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage with representatives from multiple state agencies.
  • Receive a legislative and regulatory update.
  • Learn about programs and services available to businesses and consumers.
  • Share insights, priorities, and concerns directly with state officials.

Meeting Dates and Locations:

  • October 20
    • Ely – Ely Library, 950 Compton St., 9:00 a.m.
    • Elko – Elko Library, 720 Court St., 3:00 p.m.
  • October 21
    • Winnemucca – Winnemucca Library, 85 East 5th St., 9:00 a.m.
    • Fallon – Fallon Library, 553 S. Main St., 1:30 p.m.
  • October 22
    • Tonopah – Tonopah Convention Center, 301 Brougher Ave., 9:00 a.m.

Participating State Agencies Include:
Division of Industrial Relations, Division of Insurance, Financial Institutions Division, Nevada Consumer Affairs, Nevada Transportation Authority, and Taxicab Authority.
