Nevada Department of Business and Industry announces 2026 Rural Road Trip

The Nevada Department of Business and Industry (B&I) Director’s Office will embark on a rural outreach and listening tour June 22-24, bringing state agency leaders directly into rural communities across Nevada to connect with residents, businesses, local leaders, and stakeholders.

The multi-city tour will include stops in Ely, Elko, Winnemucca, Fallon, and Tonopah, providing opportunities for community members to engage directly with state representatives, receive legislative and agency updates, learn about programs and services, and share local priorities and concerns.

“Our Rural Road Trip is about listening, learning, and building stronger partnerships with the communities we serve,” said B&I Director Dr. Kristopher Sanchez. “Rural Nevada plays a vital role in our state’s economy and identity, and these conversations help ensure we remain responsive to the unique challenges and opportunities facing each community.”

The Rural Road Trip will feature representatives from multiple B&I divisions, including:

• Division of Industrial Relations
• Division of Insurance
• Nevada Consumer Affairs Unit
• Mortgage Lending Division
• Nevada Transportation Authority
• Nevada Housing Division
• Office of the Labor Commissioner
• Real Estate Division

Monday, June 22

Tuesday, June 23
• Winnemucca Library, 85 East 5th St. — 9:00 a.m.

Wednesday, June 24
• Tonopah Convention Center, 301 Brougher Ave. — 9:00 a.m.
