Adam Teti Appointed as Division of Industrial Relations Administrator

Department of Business and Industry Director Dr. Kristopher Sanchez announces the appointment of Adam Teti as Administrator of the Division of Industrial Relations (DIR), effective July 20.

With nearly two decades of public sector leadership experience, Teti brings a track record of operational excellence, leading cross-functional teams, policy development, budget development and interagency collaboration to the role.

Teti previously served as a commissioner at the Nevada Tranportation Authority (NTA). Prior to that, he was a deputy administrator and chief of law enforcement at the Nevada Taxicab Authority, where he spearheaded department modernization initiatives and fostered strategic partnerships to enhance public safety and regulatory compliance.

He has also served as an investigator at the NTA for eight years, three of which were in a supervisory role where he directed investigative operations and played a key role in policy enforcement and personnel development.

“Adam has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service, regulatory integrity, and continuous improvement throughout his career,” said Dr. Kristopher Sanchez, Director of the Department of Business and Industry. “His leadership will be instrumental in advancing DIR’s mission to put the health and safety of Nevada’s workers first.”

Teti will complete his Bachelor of Science in Law and Public Policy from Liberty University in August. He has also held multiple leadership roles in the Nevada Peace Officers Association, reflecting his dedication to public safety, community engagement, and professional development.

Teti replaces Victoria Carreon who served at DIR for six years, first as deputy administrator and then administrator. Among many other accomplishments, the division passed an historic heat illness prevention regulation under her leadership. She was also responsible for successfully procuring additional staff positions to improve programs and services across the division, enhanced the organization’s culture, and strengthened stakeholder partnerships. She was awarded the 2025 Department of Business and Industry’s Administrator of the Year.
